Andamans idyll We are back in Bangkok after having had a wonderfully restful 9 days on the island of Koh Phayam. You'll find it in your atlas, or rather your Google Earth , just off the Andaman Sea coast (that's the west side) of Thailand just below
Ko Phayam : "One of the last remaining paradises in Thailand Without yet the tourist influx which is so often the price of fame and beauty. It will come no doubt. The fame and the tourists. Koh Phayam's first air-conditioned bungalows are currently under construction. The island's expected to
Ko Phayam But okay, sometimes I'm less than impressed - see my Phi Phi page about price hikes in general, my Krabi page on Ya Ya and how bungalow operators are not pulling their weight on infrastructure, my Lanta page on the poor value cheaper
Phayam/little Chang/Yao Noi??? - Lonely Planet travel forum It looks as though all these islands are really laid back, with nice fan/en-suite-bungalows in the 500 baht price range which is just what Im looking for. So its difficult to choose! Can anybody comment on which of these islands
Koh Phayam, Ranong Province - Lonely Planet travel forum I have just returned from a few weeks on the beautiful island of Koh Phayam off the coast of Ranong. It was a truely lovely few weeks on an island that has yet to be hit by the on-slaught of travellers. Its serenty and beauty are truely I'd say its Thailand's first boutique bungalows, at a price thats affordable for all. They have a movie lounge, family meal nights (which bring a great crowd in), poker nights and the food is cooked by a brilliant Burmese cook.
Tezza's Beaches and Islands: KO MAK (MAC, MACK) If I had to compare it I'd say it is similar to Ko Jum and Ko Phayam. It is certainly a nice contrast to a lot of big Ko Chang, giving visitors to this area a nice diversion. Map from KO MAK. com. A FULL SIZE VERSION can be seen here. When I hopped off the speedboat from Ko Sunset's food quality was good, prices at the low end of normal budget levels, service friendly and fast. One of the 250 baht bungalows at Sunset - this one looks west over the bay and Ao Kao beach
Ko Phayam or Ko Chang? - Lonely Planet travel forum Building also precedes a hike in prices. I used to pay 1800 baht to stay there. That time I paid 1750, a discount of 50 baht (just over a dollar) because it was the wet season and there was building going on! I was told the new price is
