krabi: Climber’s Paradise
Informative Article Summary by Jaxza Team
We really didn’t have a plan as to where we were going after we arrived in Bangkok…and, as we’ve discovered, even if you *think* you have a plan, SE Asia has other ideas for you. Jeremy remembered that a friend of ours from SF, Jeremy Sugerman (I will refer to him as “Sug” to avoid confusion), is often in Thailand for 6 weeks around January/February, so we emailed him…and sure enough,...

Rock climbing in the South Pacific - Rei Lei, krabi
Informative Article Summary by Jaxza Team
Its almost sounding repetitive. More beautiful scenery. More wonderful people. More great weather. Gosh. Its like its almost becoming boring, but not quite. Rei Lei beach can only be reached by long tail boat, which is an amazing contraption with a diesel engine large enough to power a long haul truck mounted not in the bilge or even below the water line, but topside above the stern. The entire en...

Top 6 things you must do when visiting Thailand
Informative Article Summary by Jaxza Team
Thailand is an amazing cultural and geographical adventure and there are perhaps dozens of things to do if you ever make it there. Here are my top 6 things to do in Thailand (don't miss 'em if you're heading there):

Resolved Question: Thailand weather in early june? Hi everyone im hoping some one out there will be able to give me an answer to this question so i can make my decision as you have probably guessed im planing to go to thailand in early june (Krabi & phi phi island to be exact) and from research i have found that this a wet season. I really dont mind few hours rain here and there but what i really want to know if im not walking in to a full on typhoon. From reading online i am getting mix signals some websites say its great time to go as its cheap and quiet and u get refreshing rain in the evening or night time but thats only for few hours and then sun is out again temp rising to 32c during day. But then there are other sites thats say that there is a high risk of flooding, heavy constant all day rain (sometimes few days in a row) and you cant touch the beach because its simply to windy and there is a fear of drowning. As you can see my dilema. I really cant decide if i should go and take a risk or just forget the whole krabi trip and go elsewhere ? What do you think i should do? Any info will be great thanks for reading and for the help in advance. Tags : Resolved

Resolved Question: where is better, krabi and phi phi islands or ko samui? i'm travelling to Thailand this year for three weeks, the first week and a bit will be spent in bangkok and chiang mai, and the last two weeks will be spent south near phuket. we are thinking of spending one week in phuket and another week in either krabi and phi phi islands or ko samui. we would like to go to all three places but it would be far to busy , so which is better krabi or ko samui. we are wanting to go to beaches with beautiful scenery, clear water, white sandy beaches, palm trees, basically a beautiful beach paradise with great scenery. so where should we go and why . sorry if thats confusing , but all answers are appreciated . thanks Tags : Resolved

Resolved Question: Krabi, Phuket & Phi Phi - are there day trips on phi phi? I have been to krabi & phuket and know of the day trips there. I have a friend who is considering spending a few days on Phi Phi - are there day trips there as well - surely snorkeling? - It looks like hotels are a good bit more expensive on PP as well. Any Phi Phi comparisons to Krabi or Phuket welcome - it is their first time to Thailand, 2 ladies travelling together, want a week on the beach before coming north - sure, I recommended north first then the beach but Tags : Resolved
